An applicant who desires to obtain information under RTI Act, 2005 can submit an application either by post or through online RTI portal of Mahatma Gandhi University or can submit application personally before the PIO.
One can submit a request under RTI Act, 2005 to Smt.Usha.V.D, the Deputy Registrar 3 (Admin) & Public Information Officer, Mahatma Gandhi University. First appeals should be submitted before Prof.(Dr.) Bismi Gopalakrishnan, Registrar & First Appellate Authority, Mahatma Gandhi University.
You can write RTI application in English or in any Indian regional languages. The text of the application may be written in the prescribed column (Upto 3000 charactes) or can upload as PDF attachment though the "scan and upload" option.
On filling up the mandatory fields, a non BPL applicant may be directed to the online fee payment gateway and can remit the fee online. Applicants using other ways than RTI portal can remit fees by postal order or can make UPI payments. It may be noted that no RTI fee is required to be paid by a citizen who is below poverty line. However, the BPL applicant must attach a copy of the certificate issued by the appropriate government in this regard, along with the application.
Yes. You can download the receipt of the payment done through RTI portal. On submission of an application, a unique registration number will be issued, which may be referred by the applicant for any future reference.
Don't worry. It will be directed to the Public Information Officer, Mahatma Gandhi University and once the application is found to be falling under the jurisdiction of any other public authority, the application will be directed to the concerned Public authority under Sec.6(3) of the RTI Act -2005.
You can use the "Forgot Password" option in the login page to reset your password using your registered mobile number or email ID. You can also go to Application History page to see your past RTI requests.
Yes, it is made mandatory to create user account so that you can easily track all the RTI requests filed and replies received for requests in one place.
As long as you are a registered user and your account is not deactivated, you can see all RTI requests and replies.
Status/Reply of the RTI Application filed online can be viewed by the applicant by clicking on "Application Status" or by signing up to the account.
